My Favourite Boy...

Still catching up on my own personal photos, just like the cobblers kids...

Luke had his 1st birthday waaayyy back in February! Here are some photos from that weekend.

'Auntie' Joan came up for the weekend which as I recall now was kinda chaos. Thanks for all your help that weekend Joan! She even had to show a couple some of my albums because I was late from shooting a boudoir session.

Joan brought up a gift for Miss Madeline as she wasn't able to make it up a few weeks before for Madeline's party. A big huge Playdo ice cream sundae machine...every parents dream. It turned out to be a lot of fun and not nearly as messy as I had envisioned. Madeline sure likes it!

Sometimes you just have to use your tongue when sculpting a masterpiece.

Lucas got in on the Playdo action also...only ate a wee bit!

Then came THE CAKE! What a fabulous job Christa {Christa's Cakes~Southampton} did. Really I just said jungle and that I liked the blades of grass on Madelines and ta-da! WOW!

I love the giraffe peeking out the top of the jungle.

Luke's 'smash cake'....much more of this to come soon!

Hugs from big sister.

Big eyes and loooong eyelashes...and drool.

Such a big man in his button up shirt.

"Get out of my room!"

"Is she hugging me again?"

Um, read the sign people! Luke made out pretty well for a one-year old!

Bye, bye monkey!

Papa & Luke under the jungle leaf.

King of the jungle!

Not sure what these 3 were up to...couldn't be good.

Luke got a play table and loads of farm and truck type stuff for it. This is my Nana showing him how to run the farm equipment.

Later that night, still lovin' the new toys!

Happy Birthday {about 1/2 a year ago} my perfect wee man!

My Favourite Girl...

I always tell Madeline that she is my favourite girl, she says that I am her favourite mom which is nice.

Playing a little catch up on my own personal photos...these are from her party in January!!!

A perfect cake by Christa. Madeline decided on a Tinkerbell cake this year.

I love the blades of grass and all the vines.

Miss Claire brought her baby blues for all to adore.

The birthday girl, very excited for the party to start.

The Kennedy's got her a snowboard, I'm not sure she actually knows what it is at this point but she looks amazed!

No way!

I love it!

YUMMY!

Waiting and listening so well, what a lady.

Luke already has Nana wrapped around his pinky finger.

Oh, I think I'd like some more.

Hallway balloons were a big hit with Hannah and Madeline.

Trying out the snowboard later on that night...with her new feather boa.

Happy Birthday {1/2 a year ago!} You are so my favourite girl!!!

I'm back-ish {Owen Sound's healing photographer}

I'm Back!

Well almost. I am working on the computer today for the first time in a week. It'll be a short stint today as the kids and I watch Ratatouille....again. I'm hoping to finish up an engagement portrait and maybe even move on to a wedding. Oh, wait, yep, Luke just bit Madeline, guess I'm done for the day.

I'm back, for real, tomorrow and Thursday so if you've been waiting to hear from me it won't be long now!!

Cheers, Christy {& the kids}

How did this happen? {Owen Sound's Mommy/Photographer}

Our little man turned one this weekend and I can hardly believe it!

The past 365 days have flow by. Business has been exceptionally good but I feel like I need to pull back and gain some sort of control over the situation that is my crazy life. No regrets, I had a great year, but to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and sanity for me and my family some changes are in order for the years to come.

So for the year ahead I've booked fewer weddings...that should be a good start! I am now booked or OFF-what is that?-from June thru September 24th for 2010 with the exception of June 12th which I am okay with booking or not. I will also be taking on fewer portrait sessions and concentrating on more creative sessions. I will be saying NO to a lot of random things that come my way, really I can say no, I swear. I will be asking for and hiring help, much needed.

It is going to be hard but my kids are soooo worth it.

Guess my 'maternity leave' is over...better get to work, ha!

Cheers, Christy

Merry Christmas!

Just wrapping up our Christmas Eve activities, kids are bathed, in new monkey pjs, all the presents are ready to go, cookies have been eaten, milk drank....and the usual laundry is drying. Trev and I are watching Superbad, again, such a funny movie!

Here are some pre-Christmas photos:

Hope you're all set to go too.

I will be off until the New Year and I'll get back to any emails/messages then.

Cheers!!!!

It has been a while....{Owen Sound's overworked Photographer}

It feels like forever since I've done a blog post, or been online for that matter! I've been in hiding in an attempt to process all the season's photos for everyone. I did it, all weddings are done for 2009! I have a few portraits in the works and a few to shoot soon but otherwise I'm looking forward to a Holiday Season of sleep, eats, drinks, the family and friends who have been neglected also.

Since I've finally caught up with everyone's photos we actually had some family time. We've had the tree up for weeks but it had 1 lonely decoration on it until last night. The kids, Trev and I got to work and had our house screaming Christmas in no time.

If you look close you can see Luke's 2 tiny teeth....a bit slow in the tooth department but it doesn't slow his eating down any.

So excited about the 'bell' ornaments.

The finished tree...notice how most of the decorations are on the upper half. By the time Luke is done with it all of them will be on top.

Our new Christmas friend, Tink. He is an Elf on the Shelf and is having fun hiding all over the house. Madeline is having fun finding him everyday too!

Thanks to inspiration from last year's Holiday Contest Winner we decided to do a gingerbread house this year.

Love this one of Luke admiring the tree. I'm certain he is trying to figure out which ornament he should try for next.

The finished house, pretty good if you ask me!

Hope your holidays are starting off just as 'sweet'!!!
