Not your average photo sessions

One of the things that I love about my job is that every session can bring something totally different. The two shoots below aren't my everyday thing but I still had fun doing them.

The first one is a shoot for, yes, you guessed it, Home Hardware. Scott and Carla were a lot of fun, can't wait to see them in upcoming Home Hardware publications.



The second out of the ordinary session was at the Meaford Army Base and due to national security issues this is the only photo I can share. Hot Shoes, and legs.

Cobble Beach BBQ & Fundraiser for Sears Kids Cancer Ride {Kathy Pecjak}

Owen Sound resident Kathy Pecjak is biking across Canada in support of the Sears Kids Cancer Ride. Cobble Beach is hosting a fundraiser to help raise money to support children’s cancer. Cobble Beach has donated the food, space, labour etc so 100% of the proceeds will be going to the cause.

The event will be Sunday June 7th and it is a BBQ from 11 am to 2 pm at Cobble Beach. $10.00 per person includes a buffet bbq lunch. There will be face painting, crafts, snow cones etc for the kids at no charge. There will be raffles, including a session with Christy & Company, and other draws for prizes.

FINALLY Mother Nature graced us this past holiday Monday, with a little taste of "beautiful weather!"
Just what we needed for Katie & Franks long anticipated Engagement shoot @ Sarawak Park in Owen Sound.

Chilly Wedding in Owen Sound {Iain & Brittani}

This past weekend I shot my first wedding since having Lucas...I still got it, huge ego I know! It didn't hurt that the bride and groom {Brittani & Iain} were gorgeous.

I searched all the week before for the right magnolia tree for their photos.



I love that they were up for something different and put up with photos even though I'm sure they (at least the girls) were freezing. Love these pics from the street, I think it was worth it.

Engagement Photos @ Shallow Lake, Ontario {Amy & Doug }

Yay, Amy is getting married!!! I've know Amy for, well, a long time now...since we were about 18, so well over 2 years, hehe. She and Doug are getting hitched this coming weekend. I can't do the wedding photos so we thought that we should do a session with them at their farm instead. We had a great time, even Whiskey and Radar joined in for some shots.



Whiskey is oblivious to the kissing going on behind her!



Some in the barn, interesting light, I had fun with it!









Radar joined in, he was pretty co-operative for a horse.







Congrats you two, have a great warm, not hot, sunny day on Saturday!

Happy Mother's Day! We thought we would use this special day to release the info about our new adventure! Melissa and I have joined forces with another mom/photographer, Allison Kennedy, to bring you a seminar just for mamas! For our first workshop we've decided to donate the proceeds to Second Chance Kids. Join us on Tuesday June 9th at April's Scrapbook Studio to help raise money and awareness for their great organization.

Real Life Portrait, Owen Sound {Madeline Grace}

Everyday is a new adventure with a two-year old! Recently Miss Madeline discovered that when it rains you can find worms on the driveway. So now everytime it rains we have to do a search of the driveway, check every puddle and make sure not to step on them. She gets right down near them and says "awwww, look".

Darryl & Pam's Engagement Session at Walter's Falls

The rain finally held off for Pam & Darryl as we set out for Walter’s Falls for their Engagement shoot…













Now, I must say with the dreaded rain, out came a multitude of bright beautiful greens and even a little entertainment too… as I (Melissa) totally wiped out, and slid all the way down the slippery trek to the bottom of the falls!!!





















Laughter & mud galore, the surroundings were perfect!
(… the cameras were saved, no one was hurt, and any nervousness the two may have had immediately vanished!) lol
